THE OFFICIAL RULES

These are the Official Rules for the Joe’s Club Food Program 1st Annual Wheelz4Mealz Car Drawing. The Brevard Alzheimer’s Foundation, Inc., DBA Joe’s Club, is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization providing supervised therapeutic programs for older adults coping with physical or cognitive challenges, transportation services, food delivery programs and in-home respite. By entering this drawing, all participants and winner(s) consent to the use of their names and likeness in publicity related to the drawing and its outcome without compensation and waives any and all claims against the Brevard Alzheimer’s Foundation, Inc. or Joe’s Club. Participants of this drawing must be 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. Donations for tickets will begin on August 1st, 2024 and will cease 60 minutes prior to the 12:00 pm drawing on December 24th, 2024. Employees and Board Members, as well as ALL THOSE LIVING IN THE SAME HOUSEHOLD, of the Brevard Alzheimer’s Foundation and Joe’s Club, are not eligible to enter.

General Conditions: By entering, entrants accept and agree to the Official Rules and the decisions of the Brevard Alzheimer’s Foundation, Inc. and Joe’s Club.

A suggested minimum donation of $100.00 dollars per entry. There is no minimum number of tickets to be sold.  The maximum tickets sold will be limited to 2000. Donations may be tax-deductible, and deductions may benefit donors differently. Tickets for this drawing will be issued on a first-come, first-served basis. Checks and Money Orders should be made payable to Brevard Alzheimer’s Foundation, Inc. and sent to 4676 N. Wickham Rd, Melbourne, FL 32935. Drawing will be held at 12:00 pm on December 24th, 2024 and will be held live on facebook at www.facebook.com/brevardalz.

To receive a free ticket, requests must be received in writing and must include name, address, valid e-mail address, phone number, and a self-addressed and stamped envelope. To be eligible, mail-in requests for a free entry must be received by mail, no later than Friday, December 20th , 2024. Only one free ticket per household, via a written request, is available. Free tickets must be requested in writing and may not be requested through the internet or phone.

Tickets will be issued in the name designated by the entrant at the time of purchase. This year’s drawing will be done by a random draw of a paper ticket drawn from a bin. The winner will be notified based on the name and contact information provided by the donor.

Drawing is open to all ticket holders. The Brevard Alzheimer’s Foundation reserves the right to award the prize to those whom it determines the winner(s). All decisions are final. BAFI will pay the winner’s Federal taxes. The winner(s) will be responsible for all additional taxes (State and Local) as well as licensing, registration, and delivery of prize. Winner(s) will be notified by telephone, e-mail, and or US Mail at the information indicated at time of ticket purchase. Winner must present purchase receipt and valid identification to claim prize. Prize must be claimed and titled in winner’s name within 30 days of drawing and copies of that transaction provided to BAFI. If winner cannot, or decides not to claim the prize, the transaction containing the winning ticket will be refunded to them as an alternate “prize” and we will draw a second ticket.

BAFI makes no warranty of any nature with respect to the raffle or the prize, whether in respect of fitness for a particular purpose, satisfactory quality or otherwise. Entrants acknowledge that, except as specifically set forth herein, sponsor has not made and disclaims all liability for any warranty, representation, or guarantee, express or implied, in fact or in law, related to the raffle or the prize.

Name of winner(s) or copy of Official Rules may be obtained by sending a self-addressed, postage paid envelope to Brevard Alzheimer’s Foundation, Inc. 4676 N. Wickham Rd, Melbourne, FL 32935. Can I wait and buy tickets on the day of the event?
Absolutely. However, ticket sales will end 1 hour prior to the drawing.

What is the process for tickets this year?
If you purchase at a show, event or in person, you will receive your tickets at that time. If you purchase tickets online, tickets will be created for you in our office, and the stubs will be mailed to you.

How Is the drawing being held this year?
The winning ticket will be drawn by hand from a drum.

ABOUT THE CAR

Do you transport the car if I do not live in the area?
No. The winner is responsible for claiming the car within 30 days and transporting it to its final destination.

Do I have to pay anything when I win?

BAFI will pay the taxes due to the IRS when you win. After the taxes are paid, you can take possession of the car. This is an IRS requirement. However, you will be responsible for registration, transport or any other fees incurred. You will also receive a W-9 for your winnings.
